Archiving

Academia Publications is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. Our archiving policy aligns with international standards for scholarly publishing and supports COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. Below are the details of our archiving approach:

1. Long-Term Preservation of Content

To guarantee the long-term preservation of academic content, we actively employ reliable archiving methods. This ensures that our published articles remain accessible to readers, researchers, and institutions, even in unforeseen circumstances such as technical failures or organizational changes.

Our archiving strategy safeguards the integrity and continuity of scholarly records, maintaining accessibility for future generations.

2. Archiving Systems

Academia Publications uses the following systems for content preservation:

  • OJS Archiving Mechanism: The Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform supports archiving by integrating with systems like LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe). These systems create distributed backup archives to protect published content.
  • External Digital Preservation Services: We collaborate with established archiving platforms such as Portico and CLOCKSS, which are designed to ensure the secure preservation of digital content over time.
  • Institutional Repositories: Content published in our journals can also be deposited in institutional repositories or national archives, as permitted.

Through these archiving mechanisms, Academia Publications ensures that scholarly works are preserved and accessible indefinitely, contributing to the global availability of academic knowledge.
